So Whitney and I are currently enrolled in a class at our church called Fundamentals of the Faith.  We enrolled in teacher training version of the class so we can then go on to lead/teach other classes together after we finish the one we are in.  We are only three chapters into the workbook and additional curriculum for this class but what we have been learning has been nothing short of incredible.  While the material we are learning is not necessarily anything new, neither of us have ever seen it organized so well and methodically put together.  It’s like we both had scattered puzzle pieces of information that were in small clumps put together and now we’re seeing an even more completed puzzle.  I am constantly amazed at how one can spend a lifetime studying the Bible and they will never exhaust the incredible truths and depths of God’s holy word.

What we both have come to really admire the most about this curriculum is the way it is completely centered on God’s Word.  Scripture is lined up and put together so that as you are reading through it for each corresponding topic, you naturally see the answers and themes leap out at you.  I can’t imagine how much more mature I would be in my faith if someone would have introduced me to this kind of a resource early in my Christian walk.   Continue reading →
